Abstract
In order to avoid the lowering of the visibility with the rapid decrease of visual field luminance in the power cut with emergency lighting, the new lighting system for considering the adaptation condition of human eyes was proposed. And the effectiveness of the new system was verified based on measurement results of visibility recovery time. Subjects were 9 younger persons of 20 from 40-year-old's and 9 elder persons 70 from 80-year-old's. The recovery time of visual acuity remarkably shortened by introducing the new system. Especially the system was effective for elder persons, low visual acuity persons and to obtain high visibility.
