IFLA Journal is an international journal publishing peer reviewed articles on library and information services and the social, political and economic issues that impact access to information through libraries.

IFLA Journal Volume 51, No.2 (June 2025)

Likely the largest issue in the Journal’s history, this edition offers an expansive and globally inclusive array of research, case studies, and reflective essays. The issue opens with in-depth examinations of library history and development, such as the evolution of libraries in Kazakhstan in anticipation of IFLA WLIC 2025 to take place in Astana, Kazakhstan. The issue continues with original research articles spanning topics like prison libraries in India, accessibility for visually impaired students in Tanzania, sustainability practices in U.S. libraries, and the implications of data capitalism. The issue also features timely discussions on climate literacy, academic library strategies, and the role of libraries in promoting digital health.
